Week 26: A week in the apartment ( Week 17 in the field)
Hey Ho Hello, it's me!
This week was slow. Elder Uhlig was sick so we did almost nothing all
week so he could sleep.
He really was dying... well, maybe that is a bit over exaggerating, but anyway, he was really sick. He still got up at 6:30 a.m., and got
ready, realized that he's still sick and went back to bed after taking a shower. The
first day of his sickness (Tuesday), I made him apple sauce and Chicken noodle
soup from scratch. He enjoyed my food! I'm sure glad about that! Other than
that, I had one extra personal study, an extended language study, and a whole
bunch of New Years' deep cleaning that I got done. On Sunday, we had a Gaijin
(foreign) kid come to our ward. I was glad to be able to talk/translate for him
in the primary. His name is Stephen and we're now friends. Our week of Dendo was
about 4 hours this week because of Elder Uhlig's sickness, but we were able to
do another Dendo slam (It was in the rain so I hope Elder Uhlig won't get sicker)
and 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Also,I was able to go on splits with the
Naha Elders and that included another 3 hours. It's not the most we've done, but at least we were able to talk to some people.
Besides, that, not much happened. I
posted a picture that I drew on facebook and I'm proud of that.
That was basically my week.
